Patriots Vs. Detroit: The Wheels Are Coming Off The Lions Bandwagon. Again.

Well, say this much for Detroit: For two quarters, they looked GREAT. Sure, the Patriots woke up and completely annihilated them in the second half, but STILL.

A half of good football is better than the Thanksgiving showing we get from Detroit most years. And in fairness to the Lions, when the Patriots are playing as well as they have for most of the second half, it’s pretty much hopeless for whoever their playing. Ask the Steelers or Colts.

Bottom line: Tom Brady at his best is better than just about anyone in the entire NFL, and today was yet another reminder that after a few lean years in New England, Brady’s back to playing his best football. The rest of the league can cower in fear accordingly. Or, like one festive Lions fan, slump in your seat and accept the inevitable…
