The Buffalo Bills had yet another team on the ropes, but couldn’t hang on late against the Chicago Bears. Bears QB Jay Cutler threw his second touchdown late in the fourth to WR Earl Bennett, then completed a two-point conversion to RB Matt Forte for a three-point lead.
NFL Scores And Results, Week 9: Bills Still Winless After 22-19 Bears Comeback
Having QB Ryan Fitzpatrick throw 51 times doesn’t sound like a recipe for success, but he played well except for his two interceptions. WR Steve Johnson caught 145 yards, and Roscoe Parrish brought in 60 yards and a touchdown.
Looking at the box score, I have no idea how the Bears won this game, other than to say those two picks must’ve been pretty huge. The Bills owned just about every statistical category, though they somehow only sacked Cutler once.
The Bills might be the best 0-8 team we’ve seen in a long time, while the Bears are a very poor 5-3. Chicago gets Minnesota next week, while the Bills and Lions square off.
