The Pittsburgh Steelers are exiting Week 9 of the NFL season with a 6-2 record and in control of the division and at the top of the AFC with the Patriots, Jets and Ravens. SB Nation's Behind The Steel Curtain is amazed (but not really), as others are, that once again the Steelers are leading the conference.
Steelers Vs. Bengals: Pittsburgh Fans Look Past Cincy, Onto Patriots Game In Week 10
It’s a topic for another day, but the Steelers are arguably in the best position of the four for the simple fact that they’ve only played three home games whereas the other three have all played four. The bottom line is this: at the midway point of the 2010 season, the six-time Super Bowl champs control their own destiny entirely - both for the AFC North crown, and for the top seed in the AFC Playoffs by virtue of their upcoming games with NE and NYJ.
The Steelers host the Patriots next week so the Bengals will be a good game to warm up to the Patriots as they both have good offenses and a solid defense (even if they have opposite records). The Steelers players themselves nearly looked past Cincy as they were holding a 27-7 fourth quarter lead before allowing the Bengals to score 14 unanswered to make the game interesting.
Week 9 is over and we’re looking toward what might be one of the best NFL game so of the year as the Patriots visit the Steelers.
Check out Behind The Steel Curtain to see what Steelers fans are saying about the Bengals game and upcoming game against the Pats.
