It wasn’t too long ago, right? As recently as July, Terrell Owens was persona non grata with just about every franchise in football. He wound up in Cincinnati almost by default.

And there he was last night on Monday Night Football, doing everything we’d come to expect from TO in past years. But we never expected it this year. TO was supposed to comfortably fading into the sunset as an NFL superstar, but after last night’s 141 yards and two touchdowns, Joel Thorman points out his stats project to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 110 catches, 1,500 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
Are you kidding me?!
Just as quickly as we all dismissed him, TO has silently made himself a superstar again. While the world focuses on Randy Moss, he’s been one of the best receivers in football this year. In other words, now that everyone has stopped paying attention, TO finally deserves it. Weird, right?
