NFL Week 14 Scores And Results: Broncos End Long Week With 43-13 Thrashing At Hands Of Cardinals

The Denver Broncos fired head coach Josh McDaniels last week, and interim head coach Eric Studesville’s debut didn’t leave a great impression, as the Broncos were thoroughly crushed, 43-13, by the Arizona Cardinals.

Kyle Orton threw three interceptions - one of which was returned for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter by rookie linebacker Daryl Washington - and were thoroughly outplayed in all three phases of the game.

Jay Feely, however, was the star of this game. Arizona’s kicker nailed five of six field goals, and also scored on a five-yard fake field goal touchdown run. In opening up a 22-3 lead, which took until early in the fourth quarter, Feely was responsible for all 22 of Arizona’s points, and was the only scoring that the Cardinals needed before Tim Hightower added two garbage-time touchdown rushes.

In winning for the first time since October 10, the Cardinals improve to 4-9, and are just two games out of first place in the NFC West with three weeks to play. The Broncos, meanwhile, fall to 3-10 - and it’s safe to say that they’ve had a fairly long week.
