The Dallas Cowboys came storming out of the half, scoring the first 10 points of the third quarter to take the lead from the Philadelphia Eagles, 20-14. After the first possession of the second half stalled, Dallas narrowed the gap to one with a David Buehler field goal.
Eagles Vs. Cowboys: Felix Jones Scores To Give Dallas The Lead
The Eagles took over and got off to a great start when Michael Vick found Desean Jackson for 22 yards and a first down on the first play from scrimmage. On the next play, however, Dallas capitalized on an unfortunate mistake. In the scramble drill, with Vick escaping pressure, Jeremy Maclin was open, only to tip the ball up in the air and right into the hands of Bradie James for the interception.
The Cowboys took advantage, scoring three plays later. Jon Kitna hit Felix Jones on a screen pass to open the drive and Jones did the rest, rumbling for 36 yards, down to the Philly three yard line. Two plays later, it was Jones again, this time sliding through the pile and stretching to break the plane. The extra point gave Dallas a six point lead.
Just about halfway through the third quarter, the Cowboys lead the Eagles, 20-14.
