Adrian Peterson's leg isn't a little thing, but it did knock Tarvaris Jackson out of a drive for the Minnesota Vikings in the first quarter against the New York Giants. Filling in for Brett Favre -- you may have heard Favre's out? -- Jackson led the Vikes to a field goal, then on the next drive banged knees with Peterson during a routine handoff. Both Vikings went sprawling.
Whose fault was it? I don’t know; let’s just be glad Favre didn’t take a shot to his aged knees like this:
That white object near Jackson’s knee is the leg of one of the NFL’s most powerful runners.
Both players took a play off, during which rookie QB Joe Webb hurled one deep and off WR Sidney Rice's hands. Both are back on the field, but it's like we always say around here: it's just not the same without the Gunslinger.
