Everyone knows the story of the 2010 Snow Bowl (apparently that's what they're calling it). The New York Giants were flying to Minnesota last weekend to play the Vikings on Sunday. The Minneapolis airport was closed due to snow, re-routing the Giants to Kansas City. The Giants sat in Kansas City for 24 hours before we found out on Sunday morning that the Metrodome roof collapsed due to snow (obligatory link to the video of the dome collapsing a/k/a the video of the year). The NFL, Giants and Vikings eventually agreed to play the game at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, on Monday night.
Giants Vs. Vikings Dubbed ‘Snow Bowl,’ Commemorated With Official T-Shirts
That sequence of events alone was noteworthy but add on there that it was the end of Brett Favre’s consecutive games streak and you’ve got yourself an event worthy of a special edition t-shirt.
Of course the Vikings, who lost the game, already made those t-shirts. Photo after the jump.
