Philadelphia Eagles DT Trevor Laws, all 300 pounds of him, returned an interception of a pass by Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub into the red zone, setting up kicker David Akers’ second field goal of the night. Eagles QB Michael Vick is up to 180 yards and a touchdown, but he should have at least one more. TE Brent Celek dropped a sure touchdown late in the second quarter, the second time an Eagles receiver got a hand on a pass in the end zone.
Texans Vs. Eagles Halftime Update: Michael Vick Turns Matt Schaub Interception Into Three
Schaub has completed only six of 13 attempts, but he’s been good for 113 yards and a touchdown. He took a hard shot just before halftime, hitting his head on the ground and forcing Dan Orlovsky to take over for a play. He didn’t appear to have a concussion.
WR Andre Johnson and TE Joel Dreessen lead Texans receivers, with RB Arian Foster having been largely bottled up. Except for a meaningless 29-yard run on the first half’s final play, he has only 27 total yards.
