Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre suffered yet another injury Monday night, when Chicago Bears DE Corey Wootton drove him to the turf during the rookie’s first NFL sack. Favre landed on his left shoulder and head, with ESPN’s Michele Tafoya reporting he’s doubtful to return with a head injury.
Brett Favre Head Injury: Doubtful To Return To Monday Night Football, Joe Webb Takes Over
Favre was almost held out of this game after missing last week’s due to a right shoulder injury. He’s also had chest and ankle injuries throughout the latter portion of the season.
He appears alert on the sidelines, and wasn’t motionless on the turf. He laid prone for a moment after landing, but was moving his arms as medical staff rushed to his side. At some point, somebody needs to just refuse to let Favre play football anymore. He’s going to get himself killed.
Joe Webb has taken over the Vikings offense. Webb was expected to start tonight anyway, so the Bears are likely somewhat prepared.
