Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is making a mark on this game after missing time due to a concussion, throwing his second touchdown of the first quarter after an interception by New York Giants QB Eli Manning to CB Tramon Williams.
Giants Vs. Packers: Aaron Rodgers Fires Another Touchdown, Green Bay Up 14-0
Rodgers found James Jones in the end zone after scrambling in very Rodgers fashion. A couple plays prior he broke loose for a gain and could’ve attempted to plow through Giants defenders as he neared the end zone, but slid to avoid a hit. He stood to celebrate his safe play, giving himself a baseball umpire’s safe signal and throwing in a fist pump.
Rodgers has thrown for 74 more yards than Manning has, along with two more touchdowns and one fewer interception. He’s also the game’s leading rusher after that one scramble. So yeah, it’s safe to say he’s making an impression here.
