Vikings Vs. Eagles: Michael Vick Was Made For Tuesday Night Football, Philly Up 7-0

Let’s start calling Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick “Mr. Tuesday Night.” What do you guys think about that? After he threw the first touchdown on an NFL Tuesday night since 1946, I think it’s the least we can do.

Vick’s strike came after a stalled drive or two by each team. After a 28-yard catch by WR Jeremy Maclin that Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier should’ve challenged, Frazier broke out the make-up challenge for Clay Harbor’s sideline catch of a three-yard Vick pass. The touchdown call was upheld, though Harbor’s leg grazed the white stripe just an instant after his second foot touched green.

Vick is both the game’s leading rusher and passer, with 44 total yards. Minnesota Vikings QB Joe Webb, doing his best Vick impression — we can call him “The Future of Tuesday Night Football” — leads the Vikes in rushing after a seven-yard scramble and has completed a handful of passes, moving the chains on Minnesota’s current drive.
