With the Minnesota Vikings defensive backs blanketing the Philadelphia Eagles receivers, Michael Vick did what he does best. Numerous times on the Eagles touchdown drive to open the fourth quarter, Vick took off, using his speed and elusiveness to break down the Minnesota defense. It was his running ability again on the final play of the drive as he called his own number and scampered into the end zone to bring the Eagles to within three of the Vikings, 17-14.
Vikings Vs. Eagles: Michael Vick Responds With Touchdown Run
While Vick stole the show, LeSean McCoy had what may be the most underrated run of the drive. Vick scrambled on third down, but came up just a yard short of the first down marker, leaving the Eagles with a decision. Head coach Andy Reid elected to keep his offense on the field as Vick turned and gave the ball to McCoy. Caught in the backfield, McCoy made a quick cut and breezed to a first down, prolonging the drive. Five plays later, Vick was in the end zone.
In the fourth quarter, the Vikings lead the Eagles by a field goal, 17-14.
