Jacksonville Jaguars QB David Garrard will undergo surgery for a finger injury and will result two months of rehab time for him. Now comes news that, in the unlikely scenario Jacksonville gets into the playoffs, he wouldn't be available. That would mean Jacksonville would turn to Trent Edwards or Todd Bouman.
David Garrard’s Injury Will Keep Him Out Of Playoffs If Jaguars Make It
Garrard’s injury isn’t expected to affect him next season or anything like that but it’s a disappointing end for the Jaguars, who controlled their own playoff destiny two weeks ago.
The Jaguars are closing in on the playoffs but they need big time help from the Colts, who host the Titans at home. If the Colts lose, and the Jaguars beat the Houston Texans, then Jacksonville is in. If the Colts win or the Jags lose, then Indy gets in. If they do make the playoffs, it won't be with Garrard and, possibly, won't be with Maurice Jones-Drew, who has a knee injury.
