To this point, the Vikings had already had a terrible season, with Brett Favre's injuries and text messaging scandal providing the headlines and the awful on-field performance that got coach Brad Childress fired filling front pages. Incredibly, that Vikings season got worse today with another Brett Favre injury.
Brett Favre Injury, Tarvaris Jackson Interception Make Bad Vikings Season Worse

Favre was driven down by Bills linebacker Albert Moats in the first quarter of today's game, and appeared to injure his shoulder on the play. He's left the game, and his return is questionable. Fittingly, the injury happened on his first pass of the day — and it was subsequently intercepted by Drayton Florence. If the injury should end Favre's career, it would mean that Favre has thrown picks on his last passes as a Packer, Jet, and Viking.

But bringing on Tarvaris Jackson in relief hasn't helped the Vikings at all. Jackson threw a pick of his own to Florence, this one returned for the Bills' first touchdown. The Vikings have since rallied to tie the game at 7-7, but with their Hall of Fame quarterback sidelined with an injury and their backup getting his first extended action of 2010, it seems unlikely that the Vikes will be staying in this game with the feisty Bills all day.
