The Pittsburgh Steelers can name a few candidates worthy of the game ball in their 13-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. There are several key plays I remember from the game and SB Nation's Behind The Steel Curtain sums it up by asking the game ball questions:
Steelers Vs. Ravens: Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu Among Game Ball Candidates
Troy Polamalu for a huge strip sack to put the Steelers in scoring position late in the game? Issac Redman for catching a short pass at the 5 and making it to the endzone on effort alone for redemption on a fumble earlier in the game? Shaun Suisham for going 2/2 on FGs and filling in at punter on short notice after Daniel Sepulveda got injured? Or Ben Roethlisberger leading the team to victory despite a broken nose and jacked up ankle?
I think you go with Polamalu or Roethlisberger. Polamalu's forced fumble changed the game and it's a play that you just can not allow with 3:22 left if you're the Ravens. Meanwhile Roethlisberger's nose was broken and bloodied but he returned for several key plays, including one in which he escaped Ravens' Terrell Suggs and was able to throw the ball away avoiding a sack.
