NFL Victory Of The Week: Patriots Pound Jets In AFC East Clash
Prilosec presents the NFL Victory of the Week. It was billed as a clash of the AFC’s best, but in reality the New England Patriots dominated the New York Jets, 45-3.

Each week on SBNation.com we’ll have the NFL Victory of the Week, presented by Prilosec. The winning team is decided by conducting a poll on Tuesdays across all of the SB Nation NFL blogs throughout the 2010 season, with you -- the readers -- voting for the biggest win of each week.
This week's winner is the New England Patriots.
The game between the Patriots and the Jets was billed as a clash of AFC East titans, a duel to see who had supremacy in the division, and in the NFL as a whole. It turned out to be a rout as Tom Brady was masterful in cutting up the Jets defense. The Jets had been talking tough going into the game, and their coach Rex Ryan wasn't shy about his feelings. But the Patriots under Bill Belicheck and Tom Brady have always let their play do the talking, and this past week they spoke volumes about just how good they are this year.
Here’s what SB Nation’s Patriots blog, Pats Pulpit, had to say:
The Patriots finally showed the rest of the NFL how they should have treated the Jets. Rex Ryan's team is an emotional group that welcomes the pressure, and loves to ride their momentum. The Patriots came out swinging, and the minute the Jets stumbled they put their foot on their throats and never let them back up. Bill Belichick understands that when you give these Jets an opening they take it and run.
By making this score as lopsided as possible, Bill sent a message to Ryan that he lets what happens on the football field speak for itself.
Over 11,000 SB Nation readers voted this week, and the final result wasn't even close. The Patriots/Jets game was the winner with 43% of the vote (4,784 votes). Thanks to all SB Nation readers who participated.
