Week 3 NFL Scores And Results: Vikings Win Their First Game Of The Season Over Lions
Brett Favre still couldn't find his old form, throwing another two interceptions to go with only one touchdown pass. For the season Favre has thrown two touchdowns and six interceptions. The NFL's career leader in both touchdowns and interceptions has continued to pile on his stats - in both categories - this season.
The Vikings found most of their offense in the form of Adrian Peterson’s legs. He ran for 160 yards on 23 carries and had two rushing touchdowns. Peterson also had 5 catches for 30 yards, accounting for 190 of the Vikings 384 yards.
Jahvid Best was not able to retain his form from versus the Eagles and was held to only 26 yards on 7 carries and 13 yards on two receptions. Shaun Hill threw for 237 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception, losing his second game in as many starts.
The Lions fell to 1-2 and the Vikings improved to 1-2 after opening the season 0-2.
