Week 3 NFL Results And Scores: Bengals’ Defense Proves to Be Too Much for Clausen in First Career Start in 20-7 Victory

Bengals did a great job of bringing and disguising coverage, and they used it to force four Panthers’ turnovers, which proved to be the difference in the game.

In his first career start, QB Jimmy Clausen finished 16/33 with 188 yards and one INT. A good learning experience, as a Mike Zimmer defense is tough for any young QB to face.

QB Carson Palmer wasn’t exactly stellar, going 19/37 with 195 yards and one TD but two INTs as well.

RB Cedric Benson carried the ball 27 times for 81 yards and a TD to boot.
