There are some bright spots that Cleveland Browns fans can cling steadfastly to through a rough season. The offensive line has been one of the league's better units for a couple of years now, and it's hard not to like what Peyton Hillis is doing at running back. They've played three very close games, with their most "impressive" loss being a seven-point road defeat to a very good Ravens team. The defense has performed ably as well, though with questionable talent, it's tough to see that continuing as the schedule gets more difficult. This Browns team is outclassed by its division rivals, however, and will have a hard time finishing better than 0-6 against their biggest rivals. The team's biggest weakness, of course, is quarterback, where the dynamic duo of Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are more dynamic for their opponents than for Eric Mangini's squad.
NFL Predictions For The Winless Teams: Cleveland Browns
Winnable Games: Week 11 at JAC, Week 12 vs CAR, Week 14 at BUF
Tough Stretch: The next six weeks. They play only two divisional games, but get the Falcons, Saints, Patriots and Jets, as well.
Prediction: The Browns are built to play a lot of good teams close, but they don’t have the defensive playmaking or the quarterback play to beat any of those good teams. They’re serious contenders for a Top 5 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
