NFL Picks, Seahawks Vs. Bears: Do We Doubt Seattle Again?

The Seattle Seahawks made a lot of people, including myself, look silly last week by beating the New Orleans Saints. All week myself and plenty of others said Seattle simply didn’t stand a chance. Of course they went out and put up 41 points on the Saints to win the game.

So looking ahead to next week against the Chicago Bears, do we doubt Seattle again?

The Seahawks were 10 point underdogs against the Saints and they’re 10 point ‘dogs against the Bears. With a line that size, it’s hard to pick Seattle, even if they shocked the world last week.

The Bears have one of the best defenses in the NFL and I’m guessing that Matt Hasselbeck won’t be able to light it up in the passing game the way he did against the Saints. The Bears have the NFL’s fourth ranked defense and they should be able to shut down the run so Marshawn Lynch is busting out any 67-yard touchdown runs.

So I’m going to be picking the Bears because I don’t think Seattle can do it two weeks in a row. My predicted score is 24-17 Bears.

Check out Field Gulls and Windy City Gridiron for more on the game.
