VIDEO, Steelers-Ravens: Cory Redding Returns Ben Roethlisberger Fumble For Touchdown On Bizarre Play

Today's Steelers-Ravens game has already delivered on its promise of smashmouth NFL playoff football. But it's also been a flag-filled game, so much so that the flag-free pivotal play of the early going, a Cory Redding fumble return for a touchdown, seemed like a bit of an upset.

After Terrell Suggs hits Ben Roethlisberger from behind, the ball comes forward and bounces to the Heinz Field turf. Both teams apparently think it's an incomplete pass, but there's no whistle — meaning that when Redding scoops up the ball and scores a touchdown, it's such a surprise that CBS was showing Suggs roaring in celebration as he crossed the goal line.

The call was reviewed by Mike Tomlin and upheld as a fumble, leaving the Steelers without their challenges for the rest of the game. (Tomlin also successfully challenged a call on the opening kickoff.) But Steelers fans may have another gripe, I think: doesn't Suggs' hand hit Roethlisberger in the helmet on that fumble?
