Juan Castillo Promoted To Replace Sean McDermott As Eagles Defensive Coordinator
Castillo last coached defense in 1989, having worked on that side of the ball at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Kingsville High. He’s been a member of the Eagles staff since 1995, making him one of the NFL’s longest-tenured coaches. In that time he’s been an offensive assistant and tight ends coach before settling in as O-line coach. He played for the USFL’s San Antonio Gunslingers in the ’80s.
