AFC Championship Game Odds: Steelers Favored Over Jets, But Not By Much

The Pittsburgh Steelers are favored over the New York Jets in the AFC Championship Game by a token three points. Home teams usually get about a three-point Vegas bump, meaning this game would be darn near a pick ’em if being played on a neutral field.

The Steelers finished the year with a better record, but have already lost once to the Jets at Heinz Field. Plus New York has already beaten Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road during this year’s playoff run, so why not Ben Roethlisberger too? While beating the Ravens at home is impressive, beating the NFL’s top team on the road is going to get more attention than just about anything.

The over/under is set at 38.5, with the early money expecting the NFC Championship Game to score about a touchdown more than this one. The first meeting between these two teams totaled 39 points. Hey, that’s pretty close to 38.5!
