NFL Playoffs: Deion Branch Says Jets Were ‘Classless’ But ‘You Have To Expect That’

The New York Jets surprised a lot of folks beating the New England Patriots 28-21 in their own house on Sunday night as they move forward in the NFL playoffs. The Jets were coming off of an embarrassing 45-3 thrashing by the Patriots at the beginning of December so they had reason to be excited for winning this game.

According to Patriots WR Deion Branch, the Jets were a little too excited in winning the game.

"There was a lot of classless play on the football field after the game. But you have to expect that from some of the guys over there," Branch said. "Some of the guys ... that was the only thing that was embarrassing. I think right now, there's just a lot of frustration.

It’s not like a Jets player took to a postgame interview to go a little crazy and claim the Patriots defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed. Oh, wait....

SB Nation’s Gang Green Nation noticed the comments about the Jets and has a quick message for the Patriots -- beat ‘em next time.

Regardless, my feelings on this are the same as my feelings on Tom Brady pointing at the Jets' bench or the Pats mocking the Jets' airplane celebration in the 45-3 game. If you have such a problem, beat the other guy. The Jets didn't like these things. They went out and won the next time out. The winners can act however they would like.

Check out Gang Green Nation for more on the game.
