After reportedly meeting with the Minnesota Vikings, former Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels has been hired as the St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator according to ESPN. The Rams lost previous OC Pat Shurmur last week when he left to become the Cleveland Browns head coach.
Josh McDaniels Named St. Louis Rams Offensive Coordinator, According To Report
McDaniels will get to put his reputation as a developer of quarterbacks to the test, working with young Sam Bradford in St. Louis. A coach who can help turn Tim Tebow into something resembling an NFL quarterback has got to be very excited about working with Bradford, a more conventional former Heisman Trophy winner.
In recent weeks McDaniels has also been mentioned as a possible offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks and even the Atlanta Falcons. He’s carved an interesting path through the NFL, rising from the bottom of the New England Patriots coaching staff to become Bill Belichick’s right-hand man before taking over the Broncos and winding up in St. Louis.
