After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers grabbed an early 3-0 lead, the host New Orleans Saints responded on their first offensive possession, marching 78 yards in 13 plays to take a 7-3 lead. Drew Brees hit Jimmy Graham for a four-yard touchdown pass to cap off the scoring drive.
Buccaneers Vs. Saints: Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham Connect, Saints Lead 7-3
For Graham, a rookie out of Miami, it’s his fourth receiving touchdown in the last three weeks.
Brees completed five of ten passes for 51 yards on the drive, while rookie Chris Ivory added 17 rushing yards on three carries on the possession. Lance Moore hauled in two passes for 26 yards, and Reggie Bush had a ten-yard reception to convert a first down.
The 11-4 Saints are still in the hunt for an NFC South title and home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs. They’d need a win and a Falcons loss to accomplish that goal, and while they’re taking care of their own business, the Falcons currently lead the Carolina Panthers 14-0 at the Georgia Dome.
