Trailing by ten points early in the fourth quarter, the New Orleans Saints - thanks to a 38-yard field goal by Garrett Hartley - have trimmed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ lead to seven with roughly 11 minutes remaining in the game.
Buccaneers Vs. Saints: Reggie Bush Excelling, Saints Trail 20-13
Drew Brees drove the Saints 54 yards for their third scoring drive of the game. Reggie Bush pulled in a 20-yard reception on the drive, helping him continue a strong showing; he has rushed for 60 yards on just seven carries in this one, and has added 55 receiving yards on five receptions, as well.
The Saints have since re-gained possession after LeGarrette Blount fumbled a shovel pass from Josh Freeman, which was recovered by Jo-Lonn Dunbar.
New Orleans takes over trailing by a touchdown, and here’s the kicker: Chase Daniel is in at quarterback. Clearly, Saints head coach Sean Payton is keeping an eye on the scoreboard. With the Atlanta Falcons leading the Carolina Panthers 31-3 in the fourth quarter, the Saints - even if Daniel leads them to a come-from-behind win - have no chance at securing an NFC South title or improving their playoff seeding.
