Eagles Vs. Cowboys: No Points Scored In Quiet First Quarter

In a game that means absolutely nothing for either team other than pride in a long standing rivalry, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys played to a scoreless draw in the first quarter.

The Eagles came into the game today knowing that the third seed in the NFC is theirs and there is nothing to change that fact. A loss last week to the Minnesota Vikings left the Eagles without an opportunity to try for the second seed in the NFC. Almost on the opposite side of the playoff spectrum are the Dallas Cowboys, who came into the game with a 5-10 record in 2010.

Both teams are missing key starters. In the Eagles case, starters are being rested in lieu of a bye week in the playoffs. The Cowboys are without starting quarterback John Kitna, whom himself was a fill-in for actual starting quarterback Tony Romo.

Kevin Kolb starts at quarterback for the Eagles while Michael Vick rests his injured thigh.
