Records aside, both of these NFC West teams are playing like the last NFL playoff berth is up for grabs. The Seattle Seahawks Qwest Field crowd has been loud and involved, causing a false start that put a damper on the St. Louis Rams last-minute attempt at a scoring drive.
Rams Vs. Seahawks: Russell Okung Injured, Seattle Maintains 7-3 Halftime Lead
Other than Rams RB Steven Jackson’s 67 total yards and a long pass from Seahawks QB Charlie Whitehurst to WR Ruvell Martin, neither offense has been able to find much traction. The young Rams O has been challenged by a spirited home field presence, while the Seahawks are not extremely good at football.
Starting left tackle Russell Okung had to hit the sideline late in the second quarter after injuring his ankle. He was driven back and stepped on Whitehurst’s foot, causing a significant offensive line reshuffling. He’s been able to walk around on the sideline, and hasn’t been ruled out of returning after halftime.
