You may recall one of the more annoying things about the Pittsburgh Steelers making the Super Bowl five years ago was the "one for the thumb" slogan that was slapped all overt he place for the weeks leading up to their eventual victory. The end result was countless criminally awful t-shirts, like this one, and the rest of America's distaste for Steelers fans growing stronger.
Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XLV Slogan Won’t Be ‘Stairway To 7’
↵Now that the Steelers will play in Super Bowl 45 for their seventh ring, there is a pretty obvious slogan out there for them to rally ‘round this time: “Stairway to seven.” Perfectly cheesy, untimely cultural reference, and it rhymes!
↵Unfortunately, the Steelers fans won’t be finding that on any (officially licensed) t-shirt this time around (via @DarrenRovell):
↵↵If Steelers want to use “Stairway To 7,” it has been trademarked by Pennsylvania painter David Stawski
↵↵Don’t worry though, Pittsburgh. Luckily, lots of words rhyme with seven! The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has you covered:
↵
↵It’s gonna be a long two weeks.
