The New Orleans Saints are favored by 10 to 11 points over the Seattle Seahawks this weekend depending on where you look and what’s so surprising about that is the game will be played in Seattle. That means the Saints are huge road favorites.
NFL Playoff Odds: Saints, Seahawks Not Expected To Be Close
How huge?
The biggest road favorite in over 30 years, according to multiple oddsmakers. They’re also the largest wildcard road favorite we’ve seen. Oddly enough, they were involved in the second largest wildcard road line.
The second-biggest favorites in wild-card history were the 2000 Rams, who were 6½-point favorites against - ironically enough - the Saints in New Orleans. The Saints upset the defending Super Bowl-champion Rams 31-28 on Dec. 30, 2000.
So this sets the stage for the biggest upset in NFL playoffs history, though it’s hard to imagine the Seahawks pulling this one off. The Saints are double digit favorites for a reason and I don’t think you can realistically think otherwise.
