NFL Playoffs, Jets Vs. Colts: LaDanian Tomlinson Finds End Zone To Give New York The Lead

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts aren’t the only team in Saturday night’s NFL playoff matchup that can string together a lengthy drive. After the Colts answer the New York Jets game-tying drive, the Jets responded, driving 87 yards in 17 plays, chewing over nine minutes of game clock. The touchdown drive was capped by a one-yard Ladainian Tomlinson touchdown run after the Jets failed to punch it in from the one on two plays prior.

The drive, spanning two-thirds of a quarter, was a knock-down, drag-out string of plays by the Jets. A nice mix of run and pass, with the run game proving immensely successful, allowed the Jets to march down the field, keeping the ball out of Peyton Manning’s hands. The key, of course, was capping the drive with points, specifically a touchdown. Tomlinson’s run did just that, forcing the Colts to play from behind once again.

The Colts take over midway through the fourth quarter, trailing the Jets, 14-10. It’s been a defensive struggle so far, with only three touchdowns between the two powerful offenses. Stay tuned to our StoryStream throughout the game for the latest from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
