It's been a tough season for the Houston Texans and injuries despite their 3-2 start to the season. First, they lost Arian Foster early in the year due to a hamstring injury. Second, Andre Johnson is out multiple weeks after suffering an injury.
Mario Williams Injury: Torn Pectoral Muscle Has Texans LB Out ‘Indefinitely’
The latest injury, this time to Mario Williams, could be more significant. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Williams, who left Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, suffered a torn pectoral muscle that will sideline him indefinitely and could threaten his entire season.
What a blow for the Texans. Williams, who moved to linebacker in the Texans new 3-4 defensive scheme, leads the team in sacks. He was hurt when he sacked Oakland Raiders QB Jason Campbell and it immediately wasn't clear what was wrong with him. But the team later announced that he had a pectoral muscle and would miss the rest of the game.
If the latest report is accurate, Williams could miss a lot more time than that.
