Bears Vs. Lions: Nick Fairley Active For Detroit

The Detroit Lions will finally get to see their first round draft pick, defensive tackle Nick Fairley is active and will make his NFL regular season debut. The Lions have been able to roll without Fairley, getting off to a quick 4-0 start, so getting him in the lineup and next to stud defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh should bolster a defense that's already playing well.

According to Kevin Seifert of ESPN Chicago, the Lions will still be missing two key defensive players, however.

As anticipated, the Detroit Lions have rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley in uniform for Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears. The Lions, however, will be missing two defensive starters: Safety Amari Spievey (hamstring) and linebacker Justin Durant (concussion). Both players have been deactivated.
