Will the Seattle Seahawks have Tarvaris Jackson available in Week 7? Right now, his status is uncertain after suffering an injury last weekend. Jackson went down with a high-grade pectoral strain near his throwing arm which means he'll have some time off during the Seahawks bye week.
Tarvaris Jackson Injury: Status Of Seahawks QB Is Unknown
If he can't go, Charlie Whitehurst will step in, but for now head coach Pete Carroll isn't certain of Jackson's status.
“We’re not going to know for a while,” Carroll said. “We won’t have him throw the football for a little bit and see what happens.”
The Seahawks haven’t exactly been a model of consistency this season, starting 2-3, but Carroll says there is no quarterback controversy in Seattle.
“There’s no controversy here in this building,” Carroll said. “You guys can have all the (controversy) you want.”
The bye week comes at a good time for the Seahawks as it gives Jackson an extra week to heal from the pectoral strain. Considering it’s near his throwing arm, you have to wonder whether he’ll be available.
