Aaron Curry Traded To Oakland Raiders For Two Draft Picks, According To Report

The Seattle media reported on Wednesday that Aaron Curry wasn't at practice and that his teammates say he said he'd been traded. Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com tracked down the details and reports that the Seahawks have traded Curry to the Oakland Raiders.

Per Glazer, the Raiders are giving up one pick in 2012 and one in 2013. The Raiders do not have a second, third or fourth round pick in 2012.

Curry, the former fourth overall pick in the 2009 draft. never made a major impact in Seattle. Two weeks into this season, he was benched for rookie K.J. Wright. At the time of the 2009 draft, Curry was considered one of the safest picks but for whatever reason it never translated to the field on a consistent basis.

Lots of Seahawks fans are weighing in on what they think of the trade over at SB Nation’s Field Gulls.
