The 2011 NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 18, and one player who will pop up in speculation is demoted Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton. Orton's play on Sunday finally forced coach John Fox to go with Tim Tebow, a decision that spilled into naming Tebow the starter after this week's bye. That leaves Kyle Orton as co-backup with Brady Quinn, unless the team trades him.
Will Kyle Orton Be Traded From Broncos?
The Denver Broncos could attempt to trade quarterback Kyle Orton before the trade deadline, but there are likely no teams that would want to pick up the remainder of his contract.

But don’t count on a trade going down. On ESPN, Adam Schefter said that he expects Kyle Orton to stay with the Broncos because of the money left on his contract. Orton’s base salary for this year is $7.379 million, preventing most teams from even thinking about picking up the quarterback.
Coincidentally, after this week's bye, the Broncos are in Miami to face the Dolphins on Oct. 23. The Dolphins had been deep in negotiations with the Broncos for Orton at the end of July before draft pick compensation and a new contract ended talks.
