NFL Picks And Predictions Week 6: Cowboys Vs. Patriots

The New England Patriots are the heavy favorites against a 2-2 Cowboys team that could just as easily be 0-4 or 4-0.

The New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys: Who will the experts pick when these two teams that everyone loves to make fun of meet in Week 6 of the NFL season? Looking around the Web, Tom Brady and co. look like overwhelming favorites.

The Patriots are 4-1 and are fresh off demoralizing division rival New York Jets. Meanwhile, the Cowboys, sitting at 2-2, had last week off to prepare for New England and rest up injured wide receiver Miles Austin. But that doesn't look like enough to swing public opinion in their favor.

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King took the Patriots in his weekly predictions column on a gut feeling:

Tom Brady's 31st straight regular-season home win will be a fun game. Lots of big plays, including a couple by DeMarcus Ware. But I like the Patriots because they're more trustworthy late in games. Throughout games, actually. Encouraged by the way the Pats played on defense against the Jets too.

The expert mega-panel at ESPN is leaning 7-1 in New England’s favor with Chris Mortensen as the lone believe in the Cowboys. At CBSSports.com, all five NFL experts think the Patriots will win. It’s pretty easy to see where consensus has been reached.
