The Miami Dolphins released their final injury report for their Monday Night Football game against the New York Jets, and running back Daniel Thomas is listed as questionable for the game. Over the past week, Thomas has been dealing with his recurring hamstring problem and has been limited in practice. The questionable status is not surprising and he will be a game-time decision for the Dolphins.
Daniel Thomas Injury Update: Dolphins Injury Report Lists RB As Questionable For Monday Night Football
Thomas has had a frustrating start to his NFL career as he has only been able to play in two of the Dolphins four games. He performed extremely well in those two games, but his hamstring continues to act up and could cost him a third game. The Dolphins are coming off a bye week but it appears that was not enough to sufficiently improve his hamstring.
This kind of game-day decision is the worst because it is the last game of the week, which leaves you with very limited fantasy options. For the most part you likely will find yourself having to roll the dice Sunday that he either will or won’t play. While the Jets rushing defense is bottom third in the NFL, I don’t think that will be enough to get him on the field.
Reggie Bush would get the start in Thomas' place on Monday if he is unable to go. Unless you have Reggie Bush on your bench and would need him due to the bye week or other injuries, I don't think he is a particularly great fantasy option. The Dolphins have a lot of new question marks with their post-bye QB change, so anything is possible. But to date, Bush has been inconsistent at best.
