NFL Picks And Predictions Week 6: Dolphins Vs. Jets
The experts seem to think so. ESPN’s crew was unanimous (Ron Jaworski recused himself) in picking Gang Green. Ditto for CBS’s guys. SB Nation’s own Andrew Sharp picked the Jets against an eight-point spread, so you can be pretty confident in believing the Dolphins are going to stay winless.

FOXBORO, MA - OCTOBER 9: Mark Sanchez #6 of the New York Jets stands on the sidelines before the start of a game with New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on October 9, 2011 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images) Getty ImagesWe’re back and it’s Week 6, and now that the Giants have successfully ended half of America’s suicide pools before Halloween and the Eagles have destroyed any remaining shred of confidence bettors may have had in Michael Vick and Andy Reid, we can begin to focus on teams like the Redskins, who somehow make even less sense than the Giants or Eagles.
So, “It’s still early”--that’s a cliche we hear on football shows from the first week of September until like, Thanksgiving, but if you look at the history, it’s true in a completely tangible way. For instance, last year in Week 6, the Green Bay Packers were coming off a loss to the Redskins on the road, and then in Week 6, they lost at home to the Dolphins. And we know how their season turned out.

Getty ImagesUnfortunately for the Jags, even the always optimistic Peter King over at Sorts Illustrated seems to have no hope for Jacksonville on the road ... and he sums it up rather succinctly.

Cleveland’s 25th-ranked run defense is cause for concern in this matchup, going up against the Raiders rushing attack, which is second-best in the league. That could help Oakland put the game on ice if they can jump out to an early lead, like Sports Illustrated’s Peter King thinks they could.
The consensus holds at ESPN.com, where the experts unanimously picked the Raiders. And no one would stick out their necks for the Browns at CBSSports.com either. Suffice it to say that if Cleveland wins, there will be a lot of surprised people.

The league’s best team hosts the league’s worst team this week. For Green Bay, this looks like little more than a glorified scrimmage, and their biggest task is to make sure nobody gets hurt ahead of as they gear up for another Super Bowl run.
Peter King doesn’t even directly mention the Rams in his picks this week.
