Brandon Llloyd, the top receiver available on the trading block, is headed to St. Louis. The former Pro Bowl receiver will be reunited with former Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels, who is now the Rams’ offensive coordinator.
Mike Sims-Walker Released After Brandon Lloyd Trade
After the 2010-11 season, the Jags did not re-sign Sims-Walker and signed with the Rams as a free agent. Since then, his career has gone downhill in a hurry. Despite beginning the season as a starter, Sims-Walker has had troubles since getting a case of the dropsies a few weeks back. He wasn’t even active this past weekend.
He was barely mentioned in the team’s official announcement.

This could also be a benefit to running back Steven Jackson. Teams are able to stack more men in the box when the passing game is struggling, and this could open up at least a little bit of space for Jackson to find some holes. He is looking healthy and ready to go after an early quad injury, so hopefully he can break out in the coming weeks.
Lloyd is expected to play this week for the Rams against Dallas in part because he already knows the offense quite well. He played for Rams OC Josh McDaniels as recently as last year, so that could really help his fantasy production early on.
