NFL Trade Rumors: Brandon Lloyd Could Be Dealt On Monday

Trade rumors continue to swirl around Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, with the latest reports suggesting he could be gone by Monday afternoon. Rumors about Lloyd’s status with the Broncos, and the team’s desire to trade him, popped up last week and have persisted throughout Denver’s bye week.

According to the Denver Post, the Broncos want to move Lloyd before practice resumes on Monday.

The San Francisco 49ers appear to be showing the strongest interest in the acrobatic receiver, but the New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams also were in discussions, according to two NFL sources.

The trading deadline is 2 p.m. MDT on Tuesday. Given their druthers, the Broncos would like to move Lloyd before practice Monday as they return from their bye week to resume preparations for their next game, Sunday at Miami

At this point, it appears the question isn’t if, but when Lloyd will be traded. With a little over 24 hours to make a move, and a self-imposed goal of Monday morning, Lloyd could be on his way out before he reaches the team headquarters following the bye week.
