Broncos’ Ryan McBean Arrested For Stalking
Denver Broncos defensive tackle Ryan McBean was arrested on stalking charges on October 14.
Details are hazy at the moment, though the Broncos are aware of what’s happened and have released the obligatory vague statement acknowledging it.
“We are aware of [McBean’s arrest,]” Broncos’ Coach John Fox said. “We’re gathering information and we’ll let the legal process run its course. We are gathering information and hopefully the facts.”
McBean’s arrest warrant remains under seal at the moment, though the TV station did learn that he is being was released on a $50,00 bond and is set to appear in court on Oct. 28.
McBean was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2007 out of Oklahoma State. He signed with the Broncos in 2008, playing 14 games that season and 16 games in 2009. He has eight tackles and one sack for Denver so far this season.
McBean’s Wikipedia page denotes that “He is widely considered as one of the NFL’s happiest players,” though, given this news, a citation is certainly needed.
