The Washington Redskins suffered a tough NFC East loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Not only did the Redskins lose the game, but it sounds like they have lost their starting left tackle, Trent Williams, for a few weeks. Ryan O'Halloran the Redskins beat writer for CSN Washington tweets a note about Trent Williams from Mike Shanahan's press conference.
Trent Williams Injury: Redskins OT To Miss Several Weeks
The Washington Redskins will be without left tackle Trent Williams for a couple of weeks, after he suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday against the Eagles.
He (Shanahan) all but ruled out Trent Williams (high ankle sprain). Used phrase “couple weeks.”
The Redskins' second-year left tackle suffered a right high ankle sprain on the team's third drive of its loss to Philadelphia. Williams, was replaced by Sean Locklear. Williams was seen after the game in a walking boot and and looks to be out for a while. High ankle sprains generally sideline players for a few weeks. Without Williams, the Redskins are going to struggle to keep whoever is at quarterback upright.
