Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick played last week after suffering a concussion in against the Atlanta Falcons. While Vick's head is fine, his right hand isn't. Vick injured his hand in the Eagles loss to the New York Giants. Originally thought to be broken and even reported that Vick would be out for up to 4 weeks, turns out it's just a bruised hand.
Michael Vick Status Update: Bruised Hand Won’t Sideline Vick
Eagles coach Andy Reid reported the news earlier in the week and Vick intends to play through the pain. “I tested it in the walk-through and it’s pretty painful, but I have to do what I have to do. I have to get out there and support my teammates, and try to get back into it,” Vick told reporters.
The injury is on Vick's non-throwing hand, so as far as passing the football it shouldn't really change much. Taking snaps however, could potentially get tricky if Vick can't work through the pain. Vick may be reluctant to take off out of the pocket as well, to avoid some hits. The Eagles are playing the 49ers, who do have some defensive issues so Vick should still be an OK quarterback play in fantasy.
