Steven Jackson Status Update: Expected To Start for Rams

St. Louis Rams running back Stephen Jackson is listed as probable on the injury report with a quad injury. It's the same injury that has hampered Jackson all season long, but as it stands he is expected to make the start against the Washington Redskins. Jackson has just six total carries on the season, but with Cadillac Williams also banged up and probable for the game, Jackson will likely bear the load.

When healthy, Jackson will carry the meat of the carries for the Rams and play on passing downs. As it stands though, Jackson hasn't been able to stay healthy. The Redskins defense gave up yards against the Dallas Cowboys last week, so if Jackson is good to go expect the Rams to feed him the football. They're offense as is has struggled, but getting Jackson going could help right that ship.
