Mark Sanchez Status Update: Broken Nose Shouldn’t Be A Factor

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez suffered a broken nose in last weeks loss to the Oakland Raiders. While a broken nose is painful initially, it shouldn't have much of an effect on Sanchez's play. "It feels a lot better now, and we'll just worry about it after the season," Sanchez said Tuesday. "It's no big deal." Obviously, Sanchez is expected to start against the Baltimore Ravens.

If you’re thinking about sitting Sanchez, his broken nose shouldn’t have anything to do with the thought. His erratic play and the fact he’s facing the Baltimore Ravens defense should play on you’re decision, however. Sanchez has had his typical up and down play so far this season, throwing 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He has thrown for over 300 yards in two of his three starts this season, though.
