Mike Wallace Status: Will Start Despite Rib Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night that wasn't without it's losses. Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a rib injury he suffered in the game, but he is expected to play (exhale, fantasy owners) and will not wear a flak jacket. Wallace practiced in full on Friday and is expected to play against the Houston Texans.

The rib injury will mean Wallace likely plays in pain but his biggest asset, his speed, shouldn’t be affected too much. The Texans still struggle covering speed receivers, so you shouldn’t have any worries starting Wallace in your line up. In every game so far this season Wallace has at least 5 receptions and at least 100 yards receiving. Wallace should continue that trend today, despite the rib injury.
