Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno practiced all week and is expected to play, but not start today against the Green Bay Packers. Moreno has done virtually nothing so far in the 2011 NFL season. He's played in just one game and looked woefully ineffective, rushing for just 22 yards on 8 carries. Moreno doesn't seem to have the quickness and next gear to be a feature NFL back, so expect him to split carries all season.
Knowshon Moreno Status: Broncos Running Back Will Play, Not Start
Broncos running back Willis McGahee will get the start against the Packers, but he's been just as ineffective as Moreno. McGahee is averaging 2.9 yards per carry and just 52 yards per game. Unless you're desperate or in a really, really, really deep league neither of these running backs should be in your starting line up, even as a RB3. There are other back up running backs who will be more effective.
